CHITOS S.A., focusing on its philosophy “respect for the human being and the environment”, once again takes action. The company’s aim is both to raise awareness for the environmental care as well as the education and participation of the public for this purpose.

ZAGORI water is now a member of the national Collective System of Rewarding Alternative Packaging and Waste Management “Rewarding Recycling”. This system, which is approved by the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, is responsible for the organization and operation of the recycling with the rewarding character in Greece. 

Through this partnership, Zagori water sets up its own kiosk of rewarding recycling, starting from in its hometown, in the city of Ioannina.  Hence, it is giving the possibility to children and adults to bring their packaging for recycling, each one leaving their separate “green” imprint. In the Rewarding Recycling kiosk of CHITOS, the public can recycle plastic and glass bottles, cartons, aluminum boxes as well as batteries. 

This particular collaboration is another example of the environmental consciousness of CHITOS SA, as it for years has laid the groundwork for more environmentally friendly operations at its premises. Specifically, since 2004 the company has installed energy saving systems, it has invested in recycling systems for plastic, wood and paper and has proceeded in the elimination of Freon use in the Air-conditioning systems as well as in the cooling circuits. 

The improvement of our life quality, so much today as in the future, constitutes a basic concern of ZAGORI water, that is why it will continue with its available resources, to implement actions that will contribute to a better tomorrow for all of us.
